Deliver Engaging & Effective Primary KS1 & 2 STEM Projects

A highly practical workshop will support you in developing knowledge, skills and confidence in the delivery of Electrical and Mechanical systems on the primary curriculum and cover the minimum requirements for the D&T program of study at KS1 and KS2.

You will:

Use the Crumble board and software to understand how to deliver simple programmable control projects

Activities where you will Design and make a range of mechanical devices to enable delivery of gears, levers and pulleys

Explore the automated world of engineering and combine the teaching of control and mechanisms through using the Crumble board to automate your mechanisms.

We will also discuss and explore some of the exciting contexts in which we could use to deliver these objectives through connecting the learning across the STEM curriculum.

No prior expertise is necessarily.

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of the course it will enable you to:

Use a crumble board for delivery of simple programming and control on the primary curriculum.

Gain ideas and practical examples for creatively delivering mechanical systems on the primary curriculum.

Connect the learning to Projects on a Page to allow you to develop further project ideas.

Connect the learning in Design and Technology to all areas of the STEM curriculum and other disciplines.

Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes as this is a practical training session.
